Hello, first post to this forum. My 2018 CX5 has developed a strange issue on the rear lift glass. I thought it was on the surface of the glass, and I would "wash" it off . After looking closely at it, it looks like the tint or some lamination is coming apart inside the glass. It is not on the surface, inside or out . Has anyone seen this before ? I am going to contact my dealers service dept. of course.

What tint? The color is part of the laminate.
Looks darker than normal window...
Just remembered, you guys get privacy glass as standard. We don't.
So maybe privacy glass laminate is failing etc (uhm)

Wow! Even on top trim no privacy glass? What is that, a legal thing in Oz?
Nothing to do with legality I believe. AFAIK no legislation about that so up to manufacturer.
We do have legislation on tinting - max 35% and not allowed to tint front windshield.
