So the base GT MSRP on the Mazda USA site is $1300 lower than the MSRP on dealer websites ($28570/$29870).
It doesn't seem to be just a regional thing, I checked some dealerships near me as well as some in other areas of the country.
What is up with this?

MSRP for 2016.5 CX-5 GT without any options is $29,470 ($28,570 + $900 destination fee). The other $400 could be from exterior color (Soul Red $300, Crystal White Pearl $200) or dealer installed accessories. I just verified MSRP's on CX-5 with my dealer, Town North Mazda in Richardson, and they are exactly the same as from Mazda USA.

That is not the case. Both base MSRP are from the sticker pre destination and option costs.

The Mazda site is a FWD model, the dealer site is AWD.

There it is!! (smash) I had been staring at the two trying to figure it out. Thanks

You're welcome. Sometimes you can't see the forest for the tress. (spin) Posting the two links was the key. Good luck with your search. (cheers2)

To OP, highly recommend getting Tech Package with CX-5 GT. LED lightings with AFS are really worth the money!
