- 2015 Mazda CX-5
I have had my 2015 Mazda CX-5 in for service on four occasions, including replacing the latch on the lift gate because in cold weather (below -20C) when closing the lift gate, it does not lock.
The service department says that there have been 20-30 other CX-5's in for the same issue. Service further states that the problem is related to the grease applied by Mazda at the factory freezing. I do not accept that theory, as they have installed a new latch with 'Canadian grease', but the issue persists.
One suggestion I read online was to open one of the windows or doors to reduce the cabin pressure, but that made no difference in my case.
Any other ideas other there?
