Side turnsignal conversion

When I had my Focus, I added the sidemarker turnsignals like we have on our 5's. But I wired mine to come on when the parking lights came on. And to blink also for turns. Has anyone given any consideration into converting ours into a functioning sidemarker? It would be pretty easy to wire it up.

Yes..Its very easy..All you need is a basic diode and a tid bit of wiring to do it.

I have my sidemarkers wired to turn on with the parking lights and flash with the signals. When the parking lights are off, the sidemarkers flash simultaneously with the signal lights. When the parking lights are on, the sidemarkers flash opposite of the signal lights (like a relay). Wiring is simple with no need for diodes.

Well..It all depends on how you do it.. a single diode will almost always be cheaper than a relay..but both are in expensive...so to answer his inquiry..

Yes....Its been thought of...and done.
