Yup :)

Hello everyone, I am new to this site and waiting on the release of the 2016 to make my CX-5 purchase decision (2015 or 2016). I found on a website that the Mazda 6 and CX-5 would be available for sale in Feb. I am in SW Missouri, does anyone have an idea of how long it will take for the updated CX-5 to make it to Mid-America based on the past, etc?

That's awesome! Agreed with Kedis--make sure to throw up some pics for us when you get it!

Hey everyone,

Mazda Australia has finally released details on the new cx-5... Here are some links that have more pics (including the interior) and also the 2nd link has a VIDEO... Yes, a 1min video!!!!

Im pretty excited because the car that is photographed is the exact same model and exterior/interior colours im getting :)

Also excited for the electronic folding mirrors, the driver fatigue monitoring system and also the side mirror to assist with kerbside... All of these i didnt know about until now, but not too sure if these are on all international models or just unique to Australia??

Anyways, i hope these links and video works, i really hope the video isnt restricted to just australia cause its amazing!!

Mazda called me yesterday to confirm that "my car" should get to them by mid next week, so then with up to 1 weeks detailing, i should be driving it in just over 2 weeks at the absolute latest... #soexcited #zoomzoom

Infotainment System

Hmmm... that picture you provided is totally different in regards to the postion of the infotainment than what I have seen from American Model Pics for the 2016 GX-5. Anybody else notice the difference?

Nice, thanks for the links! The fatigue monitoring system, side camera, and lane-keeping assistance were all surprises to me--that's the first I've heard of them being added to the 2016. Since all the new tech is the primary reason I'm holding out for a 2016, I'm very excited! Hopefully all of that's accurate and is making its way to the states as well!

I was assuming the infotainment system would not on top of dash like in CX3. My bad, lol. I do think the options will be a little different on the American Car per the Canadian Specs provided another user.

Yes the specs for each country seem to differ a little as to which models get which bells and whistles as standard. We will have to wait and see what is standard equipment on US models. I am hoping they offer the sand seating material on the Touring model but I have no indication yet.

I really hope they offer the sand (tan) leather option too. There's no way I'm going for the new white ("parchment") leather, but black will be such a literal pain in the ass during the summer...

The Canadian spec sheet someone posted a couple weeks ago only had the black and white options, but photos 25-34 here definitely look like tan to me: http://www.motorauthority.com/pictures/1095559_2016-mazda-6-and-cx-5-receive-some-updates_gallery-2

Here is the first Australian driver review of the cx5... Enjoy :)

Thanks for the video j-ratt.

So sport button for petrol model only, and thicker glass for sound proofing, I wonder if the "weak" screen is now improved.
I think he mentioned the kerbweight at 1800kg which is way heavier than any present UK model, none of ours are over 1700kg.

Agreed. Summers in Tennessee are HOT. An all-black interior would require quite a tint on the back windows to keep the sun/heat out. Its doable but not preferable.

FYI, the dealership I have been working with says their 2016's are at port in California. Two to three weeks until I have my new CX-5!

First post on this forum and I had the same question/feeling as the originator of this thread. Same two cars were on top of my list too. On the Build your own site it only offers a black interior for the Red or Silver color models yet the pics of the Red show a Tan interior. I'm not sure I like the tan. Will tan hold up as long as the black before looking shotty?

My lease on a 2013 GT comes to an end in 6 weeks, so I just placed an order for a 2016 GT in Mica Red w/ Tech Pkg. I'm told the car is in Vancouver as we speak.
Tentative delivery date is Feb 9th. I also don't have a firm price since residual values have not been announced yet.

Does anyone have thoughts on whether or not Titanium Flash Mica will be a good color on the CX5? I think I like it, but its sort of an odd shade. In Internet photos of the 3, the color seems to look more brown in the sunlight and more gray when the light changes. I will probably need to see the color in person before knowing if I really like it.

My Dealer friend just texted me that my 2016 was mfg. on the 22nd of January and is currently on the water and scheduled to arrive at Port of Tacoma on February 9th. Still waiting for prices to be released from Mazda for the US cars.

May I ask how you ordered the 2016 model? I'm so ready to switch over...
