What is the lowest temperature recorded on your Mazda5?

-29!

Hi Guys,

I haven't been on the forum for a while. This is pretty much the coldest I've seen this winter in Ottawa on January 15th.

The photo is a little blurry because I was a little too cold to keep the camera steady.

I am happy to say that it was a nice +13 today (April 19) in the capital.

Damn it I sweared I saw some snow flakes on my way to work this morning, while the amb temp. showed 2C -- it's late April already!

Awww man, I don't have the thermometer. I so think the worst seen was about -10 or -15F (thank you insulated garage!! It was about 20F after a week of -10 or worse).

I did manage, however to drive the 5 with snows in about 18-20 inched of snow last winter! Well less driving and more like the old paddle wheel riverboats... (skimming along the surface of the snow).

Lesson Learned: more snow the ground clearance = snow/ice buildup in independent suspension and around drive shafts. I have never before had to melt ice from axles to prevent damage!
