under engine plastic shroud cover thing

Just changed the transmission fluid and had to remove that thing. What a pain in the dick! Only two of the bolts were able to come out without snapping the welds. On the one side, it broke the plastic around the bolts, and now is held together by fishing line! I'll change that to zip ties later...

But wtf Mazda?! Did they come up with something better for the post 09's?

Welds? Mine is held on with self-tapping bolts into speed nuts. My only real gripe is there seem to be too many. The splash shield on my C is held by four or five bolts.
