starting problems.....getting frustrated

ok.... everything was fine untill this past thursday morning. i drove home from work wednesday and parked without problems. thurday morning i tried to crank and it does but immediately dies. i let it sit and after work my mechanic friend came over and it cranked on second try ......shut iy off and wouldnt crank again. he tested multiple things and code pointrd to cam sensor. it was losing injector pulse. replaced cam sensor and still the same. he came back yesterday and it cranked at least 30 times but every other time iy would immediayly stall. he couldnt find any shorts in wiring so kind of stumped. i am hoping that someone here can be a lifesaver!

It's probably something simple, have you checked the plugs? You are probably on the right track with the cam/crank/MAF sensors causing it to die. A massive vacuum leak is another possibility.

Sounds like what happen to me when i took my turbo off my p5 to go n/a.

Ended up being a dirty maf, bad IAT, ecu, and a huge vac leak.
