Sick of stock deck

My MSP is still under warranty...

I need to replace my deck for the third time!!!

1) display stopped working. everything else was fine.
2) ate my cd's
3) the whole thing's just dead. I put the faceplate on, and it thinks, then goes to the "remove me please" position.


What OTHER decks are you guys running? What works well (Plug-n-play) with the 'stock' amp and speaker setup?

Alpine makes good HUs. I have had mind for 4ish years and havent had a single problem with it.

Double Din are really nice i have an eclipse headunit i love it over a year now going strong

Typically with double din if it's non-LCD you get bigger controls and it just generally looks nicer, at least in my opinion.

Anyway I'm using the Alpine ida-x100, which is an ipod/usb drive-only deck. It's really quite awesome, the red illumination fits with the stock interior lighting in the car too.

well they have an extra cabinet thing below the stock single din that most people probly don't use anyway. so why not?

if your not going to get a lcd screen, then you can just get a single din unit and keep the pocket.

im running a alpine 9856 and its nothing special but it definitely sounds good. Mostly anything Alpine is the way to go.

i'd go Pioneer Premier line. I've owned three of them (in different cars) and they are all very good.

im working on installing a Kenwood DNX-5120. I thinks its going to be sick!!

wireing harness is a little difficult for someone with no experiance

but ill manage.
