Show us your 5!

Another shot of the MZ5 next to our Town and Country. From this angle the two appear to be the same size.

Beautiful, love that black on black! I need to get mine done professionally soon, thinking of getting it done 5% VLT for the rear and 35% VLT's on the front, using 3M film.

So far just got the window tint done. 5% in the back 35% on front sides. Lookin to paint the rims and emblems black. Maybe other things as I think of them.

A month or so ago hiking at a state park. Saw this in the parking lot when we finished: a current-gen Dodge Grand Caravan parked next to the 5. Shows the scale of the two quite nicely.

Loaded up with ~70 big pavers:

Loaded up with ~200 bricks (did this twice). Each brick weighs just under 4 lbs, so I figured 800 lbs + me (160) was safe if our max payload really is 1200 pounds.

The finished product of almost 500 bricks, a fire pit/hearth/grill:

That is AWESOME!! Wow! I would never think of stuffing the back with bricks!! Good to know the 5 can handle it!!

Very nice but can you load it up and still make it over speed bumps and/or odd inclines? ;)

Yup. No problems there. That is just the parked height. I don't drive it like that. :)

At drive height, its just a mildly dropped 5 like its just on lowering springs

Care to post your setup in another thread? Our MZ5 could use some height adjustment in the opposite direction in order to survive this winter. How high can it go?

Showing off the 5

Here is the "vibrator", in all its splendor. LoL Enjoy it while it's still stock. (glare)

Here is our 2012 Mazda5 Sport with 6-speed manual transmission, purchased mid-November, 2012.

Copper Mica Red with cloth sand interior. Added the bumper cover, replaced the horn with a Wolo low-tone, and installed an UltraGauge OBD2 computer.

Looks nice! That's the color my wife would have chosen if we'd ordered a car. And I still think installing 17s standard in Touring models was a mistake ....

Did your local dealer actually have a stick-shift in stock, or did you have to get yours from elsewhere? I live in Michigan, and last I checked there were none in the entire state!

Here's my new 2013 Meteor Gray Mazda 5 Sport to compliment my wife's 2009 White Grand Touring model. The color has a strong metallic look to it. I like many of the changes since the 2009 particularly the iPod integration, the canister style oil filter and the fact that they put the access hole for the oil filter in the right spot this time!

I grew up driving stickshifts, but I went with the auto when I bought my 2012 Mazda5 too. At the time, there were only 2 or 3 manual Mazda5s available in all of New England and I wasn't sure it was worth waiting for. I went to the dealership and was able to take a Mazda6 with the manual and the 2.5L for a test drive and I didn't like it enough to think it was worth waiting for. Besides, I was able to get an automatic 2012 Mazda5 in the Pearl White color I wanted. I don't have any regrets. My wife and I both drive automatic Mazda5s. Hers is a 2008, mine the 2012 and we both grew up driving stickshifts. I guess that's what happens when you have a few kids...

No sadly I traded in my standard and went with the auto so my wife could drive it. But when that happens I get her 2009 GT.
