Rotated upper strut - now I have more positive camber?

I rotated my upper struts on the front of my car to now look like this:

Before my alignment was:
Front left -1.2
Front right -1.4

Now (different shop) it is recorded at:
Front left -0.8
Front right -1.2

WTF?! Am i the only one who received the reverse effect of this instead of obtaining an additional -.5 degrees of camber?
