Rim, Suspension question

Enough of the go search crap..... Just had to get that out of the way. I am going with the ground conrol coil sleeves for my MSP. I am thinking of about 1.5 in the front, and 1.0 in the rear. What do you guys think about a 17X7 with a 42 offset. I figure I might have to cut some plastic... Has any one tried this yet?

i did something similar without cutting anything and had no rubbing issues

I think with a 42 it should be alright. With four people I know it will prob rub with a hard turn, but for autox it should be ok
