I thought it'd be fun to start a thread describing cars we've owned in the past, as well as what we liked/disliked about them. I also threw my ms3 in for no reason.

So...

(1996-2002)1987 Chevy S10 4x4 ext. cab: 350 v8 swap with th350 3 spd auto, carter afb 4-barrel carb, flowmaster exhaust and k&n intake.

Likes: V8 soundtrack, when those secondaries opened up is was pure joy. Plus that thing was my first vehicle, I beat the living crap out of it (including getting all 4 wheels airborne a couple of times) and she took it all in stride.

Dislikes: Gas Mileage-bad to terrible. Handling-haha, very funny! Braking-put a heavier motor in a truck with bad brakes and hilarity ensues. Despite the v8 it still wasn't that fast.

(2002-2007)1993 Mazda 626 ES V6 5spd: PRM cai, custom exhaust, fidanza flywheel, eibach springs, addco rear sway bar, centreforce clutch, 215/40/17 tires on 17x7 rims.

Likes: It was fairly light, the 2.5 V6 was smooth, revved to 7000rpm and sounded beautiful, the light flywheel made heel and toeing a pleasure and it actually handled pretty good. It was a simple, fun little car.

Dislikes: The brakes sucked, for all the music it still only had ~170hp, no torque, the chassis after 249,000 kms was pretty limp, it revved too high on the highway, the ride was too stiff for winter time, the loud exhaust got old after a couple of years, I wasted waaay too much money on this car.

(Now)2007 Mazdaspeed 3: Stock, I'd like to get an ms cai, lightweight flywheel and better tmic in the future.

Likes: Practical hatchback with way too much power is good times. Brakes are amazing, good ride/handling compromise, gets decent gas mileage when you don't drive like a maniac, won't become a money pit for mods as there's not much I plan to change on it.

Dislikes: Engine stops making power well before redline, I'm just not a fan of how 4-bangers sound (stock exhaust is gonna stay on this one!), drivetrain windup, if you want to enjoy all that power you gotta pay for it at the pump.

Anyone else?

Dislikes: Its was the first car i owned and it was a sedan what else can i really say

2nd (1995) Pontiac Grand Prix 3.1l v6
Likes: Good all around car the thing was like a rock and very good on gas believe it or not...Drove very nice and smooth good handling for that year given it was a 95.I really like that car had it for about 6yrs. Just ran good no major mech problems at all and when i got rid of it 2002 i got 2,000$ for it i took good care of it not only cleaniness but mechanically as well great car
Dislikes: Well it was a 2 door car and the doors were heavy as s***. The car was a little underpowerd for the size and weight of the car...had to have tranny rebuilt once(hey when you were 17 neutral drops were the s***)..

3rd (2003) Pt Cruiser Turbo 2.4l 24v DOHC
Likes: Ok well this car i loved she was fast and looked great i had it custom painted droped, 3" exhaust, stage 1,K+N intake,Eibach sway bars, and the list goes on i loved that the power this thing produced i love the charcol leather seat the moon roof handled moderately well for that wagon syle car...
Dislikes: Although i had suspension work done still didnt handle that great..Car wasnt that structurally sound (backed in my sis's car and cost me 2g's to replace rear qtr pnl and bumper with a rollpan)..It wasnt the most smooth ridin car but i wasnt driven it for the comfort...i wanted to whoop ass with a pt cruiser...(ya know waht i mean)I dont know dont really have to many complaints about it o yea one more thing the gas milage was s*** i got had to fill up atleast twice a week

4th (2004) Mazda3 5dr..2.3l 16v DOHC.
its under powered but yet it handles great stock im very pleased with this car now if i had a turbo again i would be more in love with it like i was my cruiser...the gas milage is ok not great maybe 250 mi. to a full tank per week..but its my latest and greatest and now shes my babie not complaints really as of yet...

1996 Infiniti G20
Likes: My first car. It was black, dead sexy looking for what it was, power everything. SR20DE was a fun stock motor, darn near bullet proof. Classy enough to show up for a date in, handled pretty darn good.

Dislikes: High revving but slow, brown interior, passing it on to my sister, actually not much to dislike. It was the perfect first car.

2002 P5: Replaced the infiniti, feels faster, 5x better handling, 2002 looks like an 07 model, very versatile, also bulletproof.

dislikes: ARRGGHH, I BOUGHT ANOTHER SLOW CAR!!!!!

Overall I love my P5 but this is my last 4cyl (unless turbo or supercharged!!)

You're a ***** to cars, you sit in them and you automatically make the seat LOOSE lol i make no pennies, nickels, and dimes.

My list
1. 90 240sx Loved the looks, and torque. HATED the rust that comes with older vehicle
2. 89 240sx This ones clutch was AWESOME, but little did i know my tranny was leaking oil FAST and thus the tranny crapped out
3. 06 3i Love the looks, handling, spacious everywhere and the red theme. HATE how pdl,pw,alarm dont come standard, no torque, wind noise is worse than the 240

1. 1981 Pontiac Grand Prix: Huge POS, but my first car as a junior in HS. Some retard transplanted a 400 ci engine to it, but did not hook up any emissions, vacuum lines, etc. I was too stupid at 16 (in 1991) to know any of this. Needless to say, 1st time I got it tested for emissions to renew my plates, it failed miserably. Traded it in for...

2. 1979 Pontiac Grand Prix: Yeah, I went backwards in years. I was a senior in HS in 1992 and could not afford much. Actually a pretty decent car, only had to fix brakes and get carb rebuilt. Very reliable for almost 3 years.

3. 1988 Chevy Celebrity Eurosport wagon: Believe it or not, an awesome car. It was a fast 2.8 L V6, great steering and feel. Got me through undergrad. Things started to go on it though, had to replace ignition module, water pump, alternator, tires/brakes (yeah, I know, wear and tear items) and paint faded/peeled on hood and roof.

4. 1995 Pontiac Grand Prix SE: My dad always gets company cars for work and can trade-in when he reaches a certain # of miles. It was only 2.5 years old in 1998, but had 65000 miles, so we had the option to buy it. I got it for $5600 and had it almost 10 years. Great car, very reliable, except for battery which I had to replace 3x, basically every 5 years (the 2nd one only lasted 1 year, got a free one from warranty at AutoZone). That was always a nice surprise to start car and nothing happens! Everyone said my stereo was stressing it too much! Not sure about that though. Commuted approx every 2-3 weeks from La Crosse to Milwaukee (220 miles one way) and back while in grad school with it. Actually was kind of sad to sell it. I probably could have gotten another 5-10 years out of it if I wanted to pay for upkeep like shocks/struts and brakes.

5. Finally 2007 MS3: First new car, loving it so far. Actually enjoy driving to and from work just to drive. I look for excuses to drive it, especially in summer.
