Winter is coming up and my steel rims are already rusty so I decided to be proactive and paint the steelies to protect them from the elements.

I was going to use flat black Plasti-Dip, but then I noticed that HomeDepot is now selling Rustoleum Flexi-Dip in various colors including flat black, gloss black, white, neon green, blue, orange, red, and gray.

I decided to try out the Gray Flexi-Dip. Here is the result.

Next up, Bridgestone Blizzak Winter Tires and maybe some mudflaps!

Thanks. I think a glossy color would have matched the car better but it still looks good in flat gray.

Looks good man. I went with a more obnoxious color for my winter wheels 'cause my car is snow-colored. This is last year's pic, I changed the front tires and have lowered the car since. My center caps are made from PBR cans.

I have some RallyArmor flaps and with Blizzak Tires it looks like a proper rally car. I think I might Paint my wheels while I wait for new ones.

I am about to install Dunlop Winter Maxx snow tires and I was also thinking about the Rally Armor.

That blue looks good. I was considering it for my wheels but it looks better on a white car. I even considered the Kawasaki green color they used on the Mazdaspeed 2 concept in SEMA years ago. I was going to paint the mirrors to match. But I don't like too much attention.

What are PBR cans? I was looking for center caps. I might just end up making them using the 3D printer at school.
