p5 winter tires

just wondering if some 195/70/14 tires will fit on a 2003 protege5....anyone know? i am gonna get some winter tires off of craigslist and i just want to make sure they will fit before i buy them....

ok well i bought the tires....but i have to get 14 inch rims now....and from the local tire dealers they are 35-45 a rim.

before i go through all the trouble to have them mount and balance them i would really like to know if that size tire will fit.

please someone has to know. i just got done with the first winter storm and my car was snowed in for 8 days since i dont have winter tires on.

i dont think you'll have any problems, assuming its a stock (height) suspension.

i've been using 205x50x16 since the 2002p5 was brand new, with no problems.

your tire is thinner (195 vs 205) and only slightly taller (628 vs 611) than mine. i wouldn't worry.

I had that size and now I run a 65 sidewall, either way works just fine.

Curious to see if these fit.....the preferred size for the P5 in a 14" is 185/65 but I have found that 185/70 will fit nicely. If the 195/70 does also, then that just gives me more options. lol

actually i run 185, not 195.
