P0303 2000 Protege 1.8

So I've had this code for a couple months now. I never get a flashing light and the light has been on and off on its own for a while but lately its just been on steady all the time. Freeze frame shows it happening at idle, and I can hear and feel the rpms drop when it happens. Runs fine otherwise.

-New plugs/wires
-Replaced coil packs with used ones from yard and also swapped them around
-Swapped injectors around, no change
-New intake gasket

Any suggestions on what to check next?

Maybe check your timing it could be off by a couple degrees, or even check your compression, have you checked your throttle body? could be something to do with your problem

Thanks. I actually just resolved this yestarday. The plugs were only a year old but I checked them again and #3 was terribly fouled and wet with oil...likely from all the oil this 230k fp burns. Looks like ill be going thru plugs every 6 months.
