Hello guys!
I've been reading and have gotten a lot of information in this forum even before we bought our 2012 CX9 Touring AWD CPO almost a year ago.
I've installed so far dual headrest DVD and Curt Hitch on it.
What made us decide to get a cx9 is its versatility, seats 7 and is fun to drive.
Recently I received a letter from Mazda extending the warranty of the PTU to 7 years, 70,000 miles ( I think).
I've read in this forum that the PTU could have some leakage and a rotten egg smell results in such issue when it is leaking.
I've experienced that rotten egg smell from time to time and mentioned it at the dealership when I had my oil changed.
The reply was the usual high sulfur in gas ( which I also read in this forum).
I usually fill our cars ( the other is a CRV) from a Shell station and I don't have that issue with the CRV.
I will crawl underneath the car this weekend to check the PTU.
Overall, we are happy with the CX9.
