newsgroup help

can someone help me on learning to use newsgroups. i have newver used them before i do use torrents. i an useing the offer that comes with my ISP its sucks yea but i dont care i get 2gig a month. i am using grabit and/or mozilla thunderbird. how do i find files i am looking for and how do i download them?

Between IRC and Newsgroups, that is were most p2p networks get their stuff.

Xnews is my favorite news reader. Oh yea, any group with alt.binaries.* is probably what you are looking for.
