Need help installing vent kit

I bought my vent kit and am trying to put it in myself. I got all the way to the step where you connect the head cover to the vent pipe and I can't get them connected because there's stuff in the way. Did I do something wrong? Has anyone else done this and have a finished pic so I can see how it looks?

Just took whatever that thing was off. Had just enough room to get the hose on. So cramped in there. Now to get the rest of the stuff back together. Turning into a nightmare. Next time I'll just bend over and take it to a shop.
