need a used/rebuilt engine

Hello i drive a 2006 mazda speed 6 red mica gt I just need to find out is there a special place that I can go where I can find a motor that is used or rebuilt that's less then 3800 dollars I need a new block or I need a used complete motor I have between 3000 to 4000 to put towards fixing the car but that 3-4000 dollars have to be able to also include paying a mechanic to put the motor in

When I had my motor rebuilt I just got the short block for about 3.2K. I had upgraded internals, installed and in the car for only 3.8k. Can you get away with that?

Sorry, I lied.

Just checked my invoice and for a factory Mazda Short block I got it for 2,650 +tax. Cheapest way if you don't need an entire long block.

Found one local to me out of 06 M6 with 62K on it , has a cracked intake manifold from accident, they are looking for $3k.

That's out a an M6. Don't think it would fit the MS6.

Also, did you ever get a new block?!
