Like the title says, my CX-9 will periodically lose the satellite signal and lock up the navigation system. I've noticed that it seems to happen more often when I'm near an airport, so I'm thinking there might be some RF interference issue going on... or maybe it's sheer coincidence and I've just got a bad antenna or something.

Anybody have any great insight?

I'm not near an airport, but mine recently started losing signal after 2 years of flawless work and now it does that very often. You may have the same issue as I do if your CX-9 is 2014 and equipped with TomTom NB1 navi. I described my problem with navigation here with hope for solution suggestions.

Are you using any non-OE devices nearby or in the car?
I used to have a DVR installed. When it is turned on, the GPS signal was lost.
Took me a while to figure out the root cause.

In my case I have only OE devices and root cause of my issue with losing the satellite signal was the corrupted files in navigation software on SD card. Replacing suggested by Tom Tom program images folder in navigation software root directory resolved all problems that I was experiencing.
