MS3 production numbers and dates

I understand there are 12,000 Mazdaspeed 3's/MPS's to be produced worldwide, with 5000 designated for the US market. My dealer told me mine was "born" on Dec 21st, 2007 (Cosmic Blue GT w/nav) but could not tell me the production number. How do I find this out?

So have Mazda decided whether or not to make 2009 Mazdaspeed3s even though they're usually a 2 year production only? It will make sense to make them since they are likely to introduce the new Mazda 3 in 2009 as a 2010 model...
