MP3 player to Stock Kenwood Question

CChris704

Still miss my MSP...
:
2003.5 MSP Sunlight Silver
Okay, so yeah I've searched but every damn person contradicts each other. Can i just use an Y-Cable with simple white/red RCA jacks to connect my iPod to the stock unit or do I need to get that kenwood conversion coord and then connect that to a y-cable?

Thanks in advance?

get another HU, i took my kewood out and replaced it by a sony with the USB plug on it.. now i put mp3s on my usb stick and plug it in.. no more CD ! :)

When I had my MSP, I used a Kenwood Aux Input, it plugs into your CD Changer port, and allows you to plug anything in as an aux input, shows up as an extra selection on your source menu. You need to get something like this: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-kJjY6V8RBGY/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=50900&I=113CAC1AX or this http://www.crutchfield.com/S-kJjY6V8RBGY/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=50900&I=113CAC2AX

Note that you cannot control your MP3 player with this, it just provides an extra input. You also cannot use this in conjunction with Sirius Tuner or CD Changer, they all use the same port.
