Mazdaspeed 3 hazy staining discharge

Hey everyone, I know it sounds like my car has a STD here. Under my doors I am getting stains on the rockers. Each door drain (little white plastic dodad with rubber flap on inner door lower edge) leaves a oily residue any time they spew water. Is this normal or not. There are 5 drains along the rockers so I have 5 lines running down the side as well. I have a black car so it shows up way worse possibly. I have a picture on my cell phone but I don't know if I can get that up here on the boards. I am going to the dealer tonight so I would like to address it with them also but, not look like an a$$ over a stupid complaint. What does everyone think. And if your going to post the "this thread is worthless with out pics" put your email in there and I will send you a pic asap.

You live where there is a lot or rain or somethin?

Is possible if its hose water that its just mineral deposits or it could be that since the car is new the water is still eating away at left over oils in the door or something.

i had that for the first couple thousand miles when i got my MS3 but it has since stopped. I am pretty sure it is just from the crap they put on the car when they ship it overseas to help protect it against the sea water and air

I get the same thing from my door handles when it rains. There is likely some sort of component lube inside the door that's getting eroded away when water makes its way past the outer window seal. Nothing unusual really, and eventually it will stop.

Yeah NJ has a very good amount of rainfall. My hose or rain water both leave the same streaks on the body. I agree with the water washing oils off stuff in the door but, 3800 miles and 4 months old of this. It is washed or rained on atleast 2 times a week. So you can imagine how often I'm cleaning the rockers off to. Its just really annoying the rain doesn't make the car look that dirty except for the nasty shmutz streaks all over the bottom of the car.

Do you wipe down the bottoms of you doors when you wash the car? If not, the lube may have collected down there and you may never be totally rid of it until you detail your door edges and jambs.
