Low tick over speed for 2019 Mazda6

Hello, I have recently purchased a 2019 Mazda 6 tourer 2.0 petrol. The engine ticks over at just 500rpm, nearly stalling the engine. Is this normal?

For any other confused members, "tick over speed" refers to "idle speed".

If you've experienced the car shuddering as if its about to shut off, I would suggest checking your engine air filter to make sure it isn't clogged and that it's installed the right way. If everything is ok there, I would try a fuel system cleaner.
