lo-beamsand fog lights all gone at the same time?

so my headlights went out and so did the foglights at the same time but my parking lights, high beams and tail lights are all fine. i checked the fuses but i dont see anything blown, whatsup?
 
Did you check the fuse box in the engine compartment?

The low beam fuse circuit feeds the fog lights, you said nothing looks burned. You need to pull the fuse and check that it's not open, use a ohm meter or substitute another fuse. You cannot always visually detect a blown fuse.

Not likely to be caused by a voltage surge, that would affect other components.

If you say so, but last week both my lowbeams blew at the same moment, the high beams and fogs didn't,and fuses were fine.
