Keep DIS info with aftermarket HU in a mazda3 -06?

Hi.

i have read a lots of threads. but im wondering if there is any way to change the DIS info on the lcd display without the stock head unit? im gonna buy a mazda 3 -08.and thinking of buying a alpine 178bt right away if so. does it help if i also but the cable kit so i could use the volume buttons on the steering wheel (if the info buttons also work then? i have also looked on a eonon gm5151 because it supports the lcd info. but i rather buy a alpine stereo.

Hi again.

i bought a mazda 3 -06 yesterday. but forgot that the wiring only supports -08 and up. does anybody knows if its possible to keep the DIS info without the oem stereo? i have the separate harness to the lcd. ive spoked to pac audio. but the pac rp4-mz11 didnt work to -06 :/
