Is it possible to set CarPlay to NOT be the default screen?

I have a 2020 CX-5 signature and a few months ago installed a "2023 Carlinkit 4.0 Adapter" for wireless CarPlay (and Android Auto) purchased from Amazon for $59 on sale and it works just fine.

One question though: CarPlay seems to now be the default every time I turn on the car. As I don't use it all the time, I have to manually switch back to the Mazda screens.

Is there a way to change this so the Mazda screens are the default and CarPlay only comes up when desired?

Yea, unplug it before you start the car.

Well, not the answer I was looking for, but that would certainly work!

You can also hold down the home button and it will switch between Mazda default screen and CarPlay screen.

In front of the "commander" knob by the shifter. Physical buttons
