My gauge cluster has just crapped out on me today. The trouble is that only certain spots are blacked out while the rest of the gauge is still red. I can't figure it out? How can I replace the light bulb(s) or do I have to replace the whole cluster now? In addition, I couldn't find any threads on changing the cluster back light. Any one ever able to change their cluster gauge lights to any thing other than red?(freak)

on an autometer its easy you just change out the bulb, plus it comes with a blue or red bulb cover your choice

wait are you talking about an autometer gauge or the acutal cluster in the dash

but uhmm...if you are talking about the gauge cluster where you look at for mph, rpm, etc then to take it out...watch this video...
No need to take off the plastic transparent cover, the bulb holder is in the back, twist-open...

so once you get that whole cluster out the lights are just in that back part or what?

Yes, they're on the back of the cluster, you just twist them out.

Mine are 194 and 74...I just changed them. Two 194s closer to the center and one 74 on each side further out...never used 168...
