The manual (with wiring diagram) is available here.

It looks like the original harness has been cut off of your deck (IIRC, it should just plug into the white connector in your picture). I'd suggest picking up a wiring harness (for an 03 Protege) from Auto Zone (or similar) and using that + the diagram to install it.

yes you get the harness kit from wherever.. match up the wire colours(colors) to the deck's coloured wire harness and connect with proper connectors.. don't tie them together and electrical tape them.

I wouldn't go completely by the wire colors. From my experience, they usually match but sometimes they don't and you don't want to fry anything. Check the manual to make sure.
