Inline fuse holder question

I am going to be installing a new audio system to tie into my carputer and I was wonder if you attach the inline fuse holder to something. I have seen installs that do not attach the inline fuse holder to anything in the car and it just dangles. I have also been highly warned to screw securely into the firewall or some other place.

I was thinknig about screwing into something very near the terminal but far away from engine using rubber washers to cushion. Any suggestions?

Screw it down to the fuse panel cover.
