How to make DRL full 12V all the time??

I want to run my DRL with full 12volts all the time.

The reason is that I am getting HIDs soon which I want running always (even as DRL) and it needs the full voltage to operate w/no flickering. DRL is less than 12v (AFAIK).

Anybody do this? It's hard to search for DRL stuff on here because the search ignores 'DRL' because it's too short.

btw I'm in Ontario, DRL is law.

Ground the headlight system to the chassis and you're done.

Holy that sounds easy! So this will make the HID come on at full 12V always and when I turn my headlight switch on, I should observe no change except the parking lights come on too right?

Yep.

Running DRL, whenever you release parking brake, HIDs will come on 12V,

and they'll stay lit just the same when you turn your headlight switch on also.

On all the time (except parkingbrake=on and headlightswitch=off).

Excellent,, thanks! This will solve my DRL HID with easiest approach and no B/s with fogs.

I did the DRL switch and to be honest its really simple and more versatile in the end even when you do HID in the future

Yeah, although some people prefer to do the fog mod over the regular 12V DRL mod.

Personally I haven't even looked at the fog mod cause I have my fogs deleted <3
