Heat wrap

Did a search and couldn't find exactly what I was after...

What are everyone's opinions on turbo/manifold/downpipe wrap kits? I can't find any real hard evidence suggesting they add a lot in the way of power or driveability... all I can find are the generic claims from people who are trying to sell a product.

Might be worth it just for the well-being of other items sharing the underhood environment, but I'm unsure.

Lots of drag cars use it to keep temps under engine cool..which equals better performance!

I am lookin for some also!

I have the heat wrap on my downpipe and it makes a TON of difference when it comes to temps. I can touch it when it's hot without leaving skin behind. As for power, I never felt any difference, but it is well worth the price to get some.

Yeah..a friend of mine has it on his n/a headers..and he's alwayz tellin me i should do to my dowpipe..and such..especially when it's time for an ic..when the ic pipes are close to the downpipe!
