I ran out of other projects and decided to tackle the fog light cut-out that I've been contimplating for a few months. It's not too exciting, but it turned out pretty good...and gave me something to do while drinking beer in the garage. (drinks)
Here's what I found after popping the fog light surround off.
Spent about 2 hours with a 1/4" drill bit, x-acto knife and a 1/2" wood chisel to remove as many of the little diamond blanks as I could without weakening the mounting clips.
Then I took a 1-1/4" hole saw and a 1/4" drill bit to the bumper and removed as much material as I dared.
Popped the fog light surround back on.
Take a step back and you can't even tell.
I took a 20 mile trip up Marine Dr today. My AAT and IAT stayed locked in unison the entire drive. Before my IAT was always between 1-3 degrees above the AAT during long drives.
