Heres a built motor.....somebody make some numbers. The thing was built to break all the records and was never installed. Its been wrapped since i got it. Its timed and ready to drop in.
Pauter rods, CP Pistons, Arp Studs, all new gaskets, and the head ported and polished by Tom Lesperance of focus-power..... nothing was left undone.

Tom has built more MZR motors than anybody in the country.... over a dozen. Hes built a zillion Durotecs for the focus and ours is the same less the head. He is THE MAN if you want a built ms3/ms6.

This motor was built right, timed right, and the head was gutted for power. Its new, its backed by the best, and now this damn thing is for sale.

This motor is priced to sell at $4500 for the first badass whos got more balls than me. I will consider trades of stock running motors, plus cash...if you're local enough that i can pull it and install this for yours over a weekend. Either option works for me.....

6-8 months. couldnt decide if i wanted to install it, and finally decided to go another route. i just sold the actual car to my neighbor so if nobody buys this it will probably get traded next door for a honda project car. im boning an rs4 for now. you cant mod those unless you supercharge it and im not gonna do that for a minute...lol

damn how long did you let this thing sit?

and fwiw.... i let it sit just to make 100%, absolutely sure, that ive been totally right about where things are with this car for the last 2 years. so thats the last chapter and thats the end for me.
the motor is for sale. 400-450 daily driveable hp on a smallish turbo running decent boost is what this motor is gonna give somebody. make it spool quick, and make solid safe power. that is what this should have been all about from the beginning, and its what dudes should be trying for now.

**** i wish u were closer to me (australia) thats only $4194 with my super awesome australian dollar moahahahhaha id take it

im getting alot if interest in a potential swap for somebodys stocker via pms so i figure id post an idea of what id expect if that were to happen.

first....stock motors sell for 1500-3500 out of most wrecked mzr disi's. alot of it depends on mileage, location, and what comes back on the motor. if you wanted my built motor installed while you watched here in nc id give you 1500-2000 for your stocker back in trade. it depends on the miles and condition of the acceptable motor coming back. and thats just for the stripped longblock. to match the 4500, that means id need 2500-3000 over top in the deal to make it happen.
id also be interested in your motor delivered on a pallet for fair market value if you preferred to pay a different shop the 17 hours the dealership charges for a swap like this..... im not going to charge what they charge, but im not going to do it all for free either. you give me a 500-1000 discount and you get to drink beer and "supervise hands off" while the swap gets handled.

anyway... thats how this would work. i know this deal may not be for everybody, but im only looking for just one. this is a mint, sweet, badass mfer of a motor, and im not going to trade it straight up for a stocker, then break my back getting them installed for nothing.

if you all have any questions fire them up publically. im answering alot of the same stuff in pms so we can keep it here in the open for reference. i know this engine is gonna be a big investment for somebody and i dont mind keeping everything as transparent as possible during the process for the lucky guy who pulls the trigger on it.

if only i had an ms3... id be all over this especially since your only 2 or so hours away! (in charlotte for school) Bump for an awesome deal!!

LOL, I think the S/C for the RS4 is a little more than 2x what you are asking for that motor. As a former Audi owner, all I have to say to you is god help your bank account.

Bump for you man.

Ohhh, I remember when the MTM came out it was supposed to be around $15k. I would have thought it got cheaper, but no...

Yes, that's $57,000 + or -

the apr kit is 15k and takes it from 420 to 600 hp if im not mistaken. the car runs mid 12's at 108-109 stock so i wont be in too much of a rush for that. but regardless... for me the simplicity is appealing. i always wanted a super fast mazda for its rarity, and all i can say is that god DID NOT help me whatsoever for my bank account through the process. i WISH 15k had been the price tag. luckily for alot of the guys building now they can do it far cheaper than us early guys.

I still have a soft spot for Audi. If they were available here, I would jump on an RS2 in a heartbeat. Next in line would be a B5 RS4 Avant maybe in Nogaro like this one.

Sorry for hijacking your thread with Audi content. Good luck with your sale.

just curious, did someone trade you a stock motor or was it sold outright?

sold outright for asking price. i had alot of interest. if somebody wants a similar motor they should inquire at focus-power in charlotte nc. they have alot of experince with this motor and are a joy to work with. their prices will surprise you in a good way too.

thanks again for all the interest guys.

I just want to say thanks for the engine porting porn.
Nice pics, very nice motor.
Was the buyer from this forum or not?
Would love to know the results when the combo is together in a MS3 or MS6.
