Would the warranty be affected if you don't use the Canadian Mazda dealer?
In the US, no, as long as you can document that the work was done. What I would do is do the oil change yourself and get an independent mechanic to do the rest with the receipt showing exactly what's on the maintenance list (Inspect function of all lights; Inspect brake fluid, clutch fluid, power steering fluid, washer fluid and coolant level; etc etc).
Basically it's an oil change, a brake inspection, and a visual inspection of the rest of the car.
