my old Yakima sky box had rubber pads on the clamps. when the pads wore out, instead of buying new ones, I wrapped the bars with tennis racket grip tape at the contact points. It worked fine.
I can't seem to find the Suzuki Mont blanc roof part… I tried googling several different ways and searching eBay. Does this still exist for $150? Anyone have a link? This seems to be the best option for looks as well as strength as they are rated at 220. I realize the rails are still rated at 100 but it won't hurt to be sure and may help the strength.
