CX-50 Auto / Remote Start issue?

Hello everyone. So I do not have Remote Start and have a normal key fob with lock, unlock, liftgate and panic.
But I can start my 23 CX-50 via the App.

My question is. No matter if I leave AC ON, Seat Cooling when I last use it. When I use the App to start my car, the AC does not turn on.
Also, the car shuts off as soon as I grab the handle to get in it.

Is this normal or there some setting or something I am doing wrong?

Turning on the AC is the entire point of remote start. If it can't do that, then it's useless.

As far as turning off when you open the door, that may be a security measure.

Maybe uninstall/reinstall the app? My wife just told me that when she starts the vehicle through the app, the A/C runs as it should (she leaves it on when turning the car off).

The vehicle turning off when you open the door is perfectly normal. This is across the Mazda lineup and a safety measure as mentioned.
