Hi, my name is Drik, I'm a 20 years old man who have a passion for cars. It's make few months I was reading and learning about my 2003 Mazdaspeed protege spicy orange. Now I'm proud to show you my first build. I bought the car in December 2012 with 112 000 Km (70 000 miles) almost completely stock. I had to travel 8 hours to bought it. Since this time I enjoy this ride, I absolutely love it. Be patient, I'm a student so I have a small budget to modify my car...

My goal is to have a car with a great handling and good overall performance, to do some lap time when I want to.

Begin of the build July 2013

With the engine bay. The only mod I've did at this time was painting the plastic cover orange.

First ting I've did was install the yellow fog overlays and swapping my exhaust manifold for a like new oem.

Looking for an exhaust and I was really surprise when I found a GHL 3'' cat back for a good price shipped to my far region !

AND I found a high priced part a brand new POPE Downpipe wirh a flex

Had to weld a longer piece to make it fit the GHL cat back

My exhaust was'int installed at this point

Few weeks later I decided to change my motor mount

The old FMM Vs the new Medieval

and the Old passenger Vs the used SLS

Installed my new Turbosmart boost gauge to

Millenia S PCV valve

SU hot pipe

Low beam HID 35W

Haha brand new shirt

And a mystery box

The hard exhaust job begin...

Racing beat exhaust out

When we removed the downpipe, we have broke all 5 studs in the turbo flange... So we drilled the stud and tapped all 5 holes... We broke the tap in one hole... after more than 20 hours in the garage we finally get it !

I made my own thermostat outlet like you guys told me and it do a great job !

And my newest upgrade is my brand new GT Spec strut bar

So now were there with the speed, yesterday I've installed my SS clutch line with my AWR transmission mount.

Small update: My rear top mount smashed through our beautiful road ... and my rear wheel bearing also! So I have 4 new top plate on my car!

No real photo, because it was my father who was off with all the job for which I worked.

At least no noise

Oh yeah, mine got noisy after 80K miles or so and I replaced all of them also.

I went to my Mazda dealer to bought a new protege logo, because somebody broke mine... and the cover for my new rear bearing

I also bought an upgrade intercooler ETS used quite dirty and greasy, but with effort it becomes gradually as new.

I also provide a caliper Mazda 6 2007 95 000 km, but the car was parked so a lot of surface rust.

With much effort and help from my friends, they become cleaner.

After brushing

I ended up choosing my color for my "new" caliper.

Last few months update :

Received my cold pipe, but it's has two crack.... The seller told me it was in great shape....

I'll try to fill the hole with this

I also change my door lock bezel for a MAM

Rebuilt kit for my MZ6 caliper

Mazda tribute amber side marker, I like this little change.

Sorry for my dirty car...

More to come !! I really like when you guys give me some idea or comment !

Update :

AFC SS V1 installed

Few changes in my MSP : Cr3 kick plate and Kenwood KDC 355.

Cleaning the front of my engine bay

Really clean MSP 2003.5 floor mats

Cusco lower tie bar

Installed a TWM short shifter

3-4 throw close to 10.5cm with stock shifter

3-4 throw with TWM close to 6.5cm

Handmade shift boot

Upgraded my intercooler for an ETS side mount

I did the MZ6 front brake swap and the stopping power is really increase !!! It look better too.

Received my Corksport intake and exhaust camshaft, but I don't know if I will install them...

It's a really cold winter here, I don't work on the MSP during winter, but I still buy part. So, when the snow will be gone, I will have a lot to do on may car... Right now I have Coilover, Rear motor mount, 626 IM, Thermal spacers, AXR clunk fix, Goodridge brake lines, Cr3 dress up kit and circuit subframe reinforcement brace !! Since the last post, I've just made my rust hole repaired and I'm willing to buy another Spicy MSP without rust and put all my upgrade in the new one.
