Bose audio front door woofers

In the bose stereo system for the CX5, does anybody know if you replace the front door woofers with regular speakers, will mid-high range frequencies be played? Right now, it only outputs mid-range bass. Just wondering if the front doors are crossovered at the bose amp. Thanks.

I would think it has to be crossed over at the amp. Otherwise there would have to be a crossover circuit built into the speaker itself, which is unlikely.
