ATP fmic bpv location

Why on the ATP fmic kit is the bpv flange on the hot pipe? Can I move it to right before the throttle body with no problems? I've never seen one on the hot pipe.will it even make a differance?

I thought you were crazy but I just looked and you're right. I don't know why they would put the bpv pre intercooler. All the air being recirculated will be hot.

i know man lol ,i think im gonna have to mod that.a lil cutting here and welding there.cuz thats ******* retarded.

Every other fmic kit has the bpv after the intercooler just like the factory setup. The ECU is expecting that recirculated air to be the same temp as what the boost air temp is. So I would guess it's not the best kit to use without a pro-tune. Having said that, I don't think going at that thing with a saw and welder is the greatest idea.

You want the bov/bpv closest to the TB to prevent turbo surge. Also, most bov/bpv use a vacuum source so putting it closer to the TB will react to the pressure change quicker.

There's better kits for that price.
