Anyone with 99 - 00 Black corner lights?

Okay, I got these on my car. Installed about a year ago.

Now the lenses are yellowed. No leaking or fogging that I can see. I washed the inside and outside of the lense and buffed the exterior. The headlights still look clear, but corners look yellow. I am thinking of switching to these, but wanted to see who has them, and if they have yellowed or leak.

yellowed is just u not cleaning

I wish it was just a cleaning issue. The clear plastic lense has actually yellowed. I clean the headlights and corners on a regular basis, as my car is my roving office. The headlights and corners came as a combined set. The headlights still look new. The corners are yellowed. I took them off and cleaned the inside AND outside with multiple cleaners and plastic cleaners/polishes such as 3M and Mothers plastic polish.

Anyone here have the black corners with chrome reflectors and have had them a while? How have THEY held up?

hey u know wat u can do is buy a red scratch pad scuff the the corners and buy some good clear spray paint and they will look new after ur done

Yeah, I know what you're talking about. I did that to my old Escort headlights and the ones on my grandma's old Neon. It's not surface of the of the plastic. It's the actual plastic turning a milky yellow haze. Resurfacing them won't help. They appear to have a slightly different shape than the regular amber corners so I may spray these amber.

Yeah, I'm considering that, just want to find out if anyone with the other style black corners is having the same or similar problems, so I don't waste my money again. If theirs yellow too, I'll just put the ambers back on.

o and also maybe could be a nother problem but its normal is the headlights are subjected to UV rays from the sun,

Hey man, I think I have those exact corner lights from that ebay link. I may have gotten some cheaper ones though, i dont recall. Ive had them for about 9-12 months, and they have not yellowed on me, and look pretty good. my only issue with them is that that they could be a bit more noticeably black, but this is just my opinion. They are high enough quality, and work fine

Yeah, I think they look a bit more like clear corners, I like the ones I have , but you can't buy just those corners seperately. You have to buy the headlights as well. Thx.

so both corners turned yellow, right. I have been eyeing the same set of lights/corners for my 99' I think they are JDM BLK. I haven't seen these headlights on any other protege and was wondering, like you, if these lights had any issues, so i see they might...

I had the same issue with the yellowing after a couple months,wat it is is that the plastic is so cheap that the sun just destroys it I finally got tired of looking at them and put my stock ones back on and threw a little bit of nite shades on them and a couple coats of clear now that's Jdm !!!!!!

Yeah, these ALL black corners ONLY come with the headlights as a combo, so I can't find JUST these corners on ebay. My headlights are just fine, no yellowing, but the corners look bad. I am just going to get the black edged clear ones sold individually on ebay and spray an eyelid of night shades across the top. I like the blacked out headlight/corner light look. I always though the 99-00 Protege had big wide headlights.
