I have a lead on a 2002 P5 with 180k on the body and 92k on the motor The guy is asking $5500 for it. Any thoughts? Anything specific that I should look for on a body with this many miles? Any input would be appreciated.
Price is too high IMHO. What is the condition of the vehicle? Aftermarket wheels? Paint? Dents? Accidents? Etc. A vehicle with 180K there is going to be a lot to look for. Engine Mounts, Suspension bushings, etc.
I'm going to go ahead and get it for $5000. I had a mechanic check it out and he said it was great. The paint looks amazing, and the clutch and rod bearings and some other stuff was replaced when they did the engine swap. I might still be paying a little much for it, but whatever, I love the P5. It handled even better than my old one, and that one had only 99k.
