After new battery, average fuel economy seems off

Hello, fellow CX-5 owners,

I had to have the battery and the starter replaced on my 2014 CX-5 and since then, the average fuel economy gauge seems to act weird. Or at least not like it used to.

Before the new battery and starter, I would get consistent readings - about 11,5 L/100Km. https://omegle.site/

Now, and even with resetting the gauge, I get the same reading after driving for a while but where it gets weird is the day after, with the car idling for about 15 minutes to let it warm up due to cold weather, I get a reading of 22L/100Km and the car didn’t even move since parked in the driveway the day before. It never did such a thing before the new battery. echat

Anything I should be looking into? Waiting for someone's response.

Your getting zero fuel millage while idling. There is no need to warm up an engine for over a minutes or less. Just drive at low load to get a faster warm up. When you change batteries you probably reset the ECM to the default parameters. As you drive, the mileage should return to your driving style. Ed
