2016 CX-9 Signature AWD Differential Leak

Hello,

My 2016 CX-9 AWD has a small leak on the driver's side rear differential axle. It also has a bit of play. Leak is not dripping, but I was wondering if this is a problem with the axle and not the differential. Maybe I'm on denial here but wanted to ask. Car drives ok and no check engine codes.
