2016.5 Hatch Water Leak

I've noticed that everytime it rains or I wash my car the trim around the top of the door drips water down onto the carpet. This happens every single time. I'm unsure what it could be. It leaks on both sides of the top trim. It drops when I open the hatch

Have you made sure that there are no foreign objects on the weatherstripping? Even a little sand can cause a leak if it's in the wrong place.

This is probably a long shot, but I'll mention it anyway. My car was rear-ended about a year ago and when they put it back together, I ended up with a leak such as yours. Turned out the HCSL (high center stop light) was broken. Replacing it solved the problem.
