02 P5 ABS to Non ABS conversion

So heres the issue, my no abs protege5 was hit and totaled, so i had to buy another donor car (because investment :/ )
Problem is, the new bought has abs.

At the time, i replaced the entire suspension system over from my previous protege (because the smashed car has new all around hubs and bearings) while just unplugging the abs wires thinking this would be fine.

Buttttt, the speedo doesnt work any longer, which is a pretty big problem.

So im wondering, would swapping for a non abs ecu solve the speedo issue? because i know speeds taken from the speedo gear sensor in my other car. Or will i need to change the entire harness? really hoping ill never have to change the lower control arms ever again so just changing the ecu would be a godly solution

any information relating to the issue would be greatly appreciated

non abs cars have drive on diff in gearbox and is wired to suit.

does the ecu vary whether or not the car has abs?

and can i use the abs harness if i install a vss in the gearbox? i know its got 4 plugs for the abs sensors, but im hoping its got a plug for the vss thats not in use

I deleted my ABS and had the same problem. All I did was put the ABS module back in place under the battery and plugged it in. VIOLA! Speedo works again!
