NEMOC Random BS Thread

LOL! No gold, no extreme detail, but a nice driver. Sadly I will not have it for Lime Rock this year. I had to file a court claim just to get the title taken care of and that means I will not have it registered in time.

I read about that... Here are my thoughts...

Ahh the Speed 6 craze.

Took Mary's car into our Miata tech nite to get the mechanic to look at a couple of noises. Found some gravel in the frame and 1 of the rear end links was broken. Ordered new rear endlinks from the dealer. Her car just passed 160,000 miles. Still running like a top.

Hello! :)

Can't believe July will be here this Friday...the year is half gone!

Looking forward to The Glen this weekend and seeing a few of my NEMOC friends.

Took my daughter, her second cousin and her Aunt to the airport last Friday. They are currently in Punta Cana living the life. Had no travel issues getting in except upon arrival at the resort. They had overbooked so upgraded the girls to VIP status free of charge!!! Bigger room with more amenities, private pool, hot tub and beach area from rest of resort and free room service! She is loving it and getting spoiled, said she's not sure she'll ever be able to go to a US beach again. hahaha

We arrived in Watkins Glen yesterday. Licking my wounds from a MTB injury last Thursday so going to take it easy this week.

We did a light hike up the gorge this morning. It is a must see for anyone visiting the area. I took some nice pics with my old-school camera but here's a quickie with the cell phone.

Can't wait for the weekend. Mazda has a special livery to commemorate their win at LeMans 25 years ago.

Sorry to hear you are injured Chris, MTB??? Let us know where you are camping. Looking forward to the weekend.

Another autox Sunday and not happy with my tire choice. The Dunlops are not forgiving at the limit and break away rather quickly. Need to change my style and be smoother.

Back is bothering me again. Back to the Chiro today.

That is a beautiful area! I miss getting to see that kind of rock when I am in the woods.

We just spent a 4 day weekend down in Bend, Oregon. Really hope we can make this our home one day. Amazing city if you are into the outdoors, biking, hiking, climbing, watersports. Everything all over. 16 breweries in town. Great scenery. Here are a few pics from the trip.

South Sister on the left and Broken top in the middle. Cannot recall volcano to the right.

I was out riding local single track last Thursday, came over a ridge a little too fast and didn't realize the trail turned sharply at the crest. I grabbed some brake but with the suspension unloading and the steep pitch of the descent on the other side I had no control. I over corrected and went over the handlebars to avoid a tree on one side. Would have gotten off with just a bruise on the shoulder but moments later the bike crashed down on my face. 7 stictches above the eye and 4 on the lip. I kind of shrugged it off at the time, but there was quite a bit of blood. My friend escorted me back to the trail head. Glad I had a helmet on, otherwise it would have been much worse.

Just found out an amateur died in Lowell town forest this week riding solo with no helmet. I'd say I was mighty lucky. Anyway, you'll get to see the damage this weekend.

Our camping spot is just before the bus stop underneath the trees. If you have a map, it is C-438. We'll be there Friday mid-day. Give me a buzz: five zero eight 380-2181.

Wow chris, you need to take better care....you have nice repu to finish!
Leavin for the glen at 5 tomorrow! I'll grab bruce and maybe Phen and stop by the campsite for a cold one!

Hope you are feeling better Chris, that was a nasty tumble you took and thankfully it wasn't worse.

You too Bruce, have to get that back ready for the upcoming drive.

Great shots Kyle and love the SpongeBob tank top!

Mahhhhhk.. A little birdie tells me you've been holding out on us..... and you've done a thing..
