Mazda5: Prices paid and related questions

New 2014 6-speed MT US$18,150 drive-out price with trade-in old Hyundai Accent manual transmission 2001. World Car Mazda San Antonio, TX on Sat 11/29/2014 after Black Friday.

I miss the extreme reliability of the Hyundai Accent 2001. I bought it new and had a 13-year problem free period. Now I need the cargo capability and nothing can beat the cargo/price combo of Mazda5. I hope it is as reliable as the Hyundai.

2010 Mazda5 SPORT with 5spd. manual stick trans.
36k miles
CarMax 30-day warranty
Central VA.

about $14,500 paid. Can't recall tax rate, but CarMax has a $200 fee, then another couple hundred dollars in taxes and title fees.

price seemed a bit high, but we've been looking for one of these for MONTHS, requiring:
second generation (i.e. not newer than 2010),
low mileage in excellent shape,
5 spd. manual tranny.

A difficult combination to find... This car met all those requirements.

Certified Pre-owned 2013 Mazda5 Sport with AT, 31k miles

$14,700 +tax/title

Bought this last month and has been a sweet-driving wagon-van-thing.

2008 GT, 79k miles, Golden Sand Metallic. New-ish tires, new brakes. Motortrend certified used car (includes 6 mo bumper to bumper warranty type thing)

$9650 OTD. been watching the local market for months, specifically for 08-10 GT trim models. I figure this was a good deal, not a great deal. What really sold me was the color, dont think I have seen a 5 with this color in person before, only seen photos. Always seeing blue, red, black, white, etc. on the road.

2014 Mazda 5 Sport

I Got Liquid Silver 2014 Mazda 5 Automatic Sport trim with 11K miles (barely 7 months old) for $15500+300 (title etc) in Portland. Its a nice car and everything in KBB says its a good deal. Is it? I see some folks here as low as 14K... so I am scratching my head. (help)

Price you paid for your Mazda5(including tax, title, fees): $7600.00

86,893 miles. Two previous owners. Mazda maintained.

I never thought I would love a van.

Traded in a 2009 Mazda 5 GT manual with 138000 km for a 2015 Mazda 5 GT manual (Canadian edition) + $22000 (all taxes and fees and 6 year/160000 km extended warranty included).
It is interesting to know that the GT has all the options included in Canada (leather, sunroof and all the other frills).

The price though, is much higher compared to US prices. :(

I am really curious if we will ever get the Skyactive technology for Mazda 5 in North America.

Unlikely, since the 5 is scheduled to retreat back to Japan and Europe only. Supposedly no more 5 in NA for 2016. It's a shame. I just lost our 2012 GT in an unscheduled T with an H3, and I'd would've happily replaced it with an updated Skyactiv 5.

2012 Mazda5 GS(convenience package), auto, 79K km, Stormy Blue ;)

Paid CAD14,234 so far, including 13% tax. Needs brake job, otherwise almost perfect.

My wife & I just bought a 2006 Mazda5, 112k miles, manual transmission, & that's about it. $3800 + tax (about $230). It needs a couple things, but in general it's in good shape and drives well

We also have an '88 RX-7 convertible (my project car, turbo swapped, megasquirt, & lots of other stuff), 91 Celica GT, & 06 Saab 9-3

Just joined the forum! Purchased our first Mazda ever today. Lots to learn about the brand and car. We did not get a great deal in terms of price but family is happy with the purchase. Now looking to see what accessories are available to keep interior in good shape. I read something to the effect of cloth quality being ... well, not ideal. Also need to read up on maintenance and parts...
