Hey everyone,

Feel free to post up some pics of your 5! Whether it's loaded up for a vacation or turning some laps at your local track, show us your 5 at it's best! (or worst :D )

I'll start with a pic of my 5 from the annual Mazda meet held here in Ontario. As you can see, everyone was avoiding parking beside me haha

That is a very nice shot of the 5. I've been putting off trading my 'speed3 for something a bit more family friendly, but that pic really helps push me towards getting a silver 5. Of course, that pic also avoids the smiley... :D

Thanks a lot!

Yeah that is probably its best angle haha. You get used to the styling though, I don't even see the smiling front anymore. It's a great family vehicle. Keep in mind that it only seats four with any kind of trunk space, so if you have more than two kids, it will feel a bit cramped inside.

Another fellow Canadian with the new Mazda5 in silver, I will take a better pic once the rear spolier is put on (Mazda forgot to install!) and summer wheels/tires.

Mine is a GT with no sunroof, the rear spoiler was apparently forgotten or missed at the assembly line. It will be installed tomorrow at the dealership at their cost.

Canadians represent!

That is so weird how they "forgot" the spoiler..... Does the car have HIDs? I'm asking to make sure they just didn't just put skirts and fogs on a GS.

Here are some shots of my Brilliant Black Sport.

And here is a shot after I removed the "MAZDA5" emblem.

I'm already looking into getting lowering springs, fogs and eventually some 18s.

Took a few pics with the cell phone at the oasis today. It's not clean and there is some junk in the trunk.

Ah, I was wondering where those pics had been taken. Tint looks quite dark to me, but my experience is only with the 10% I removed from the old Vic. How's the nighttime visibility to the sides and rear?

Yeah, the pics were taken in the middle of nowhere in Illinois. On the way back from picking up some parts for the SN95. The car was clean, but we drove through some rain so there's road film, tar, bugs, etc all over it. Visibility is great, nothing like the 10% all around that was in your Panther. Nice thing is, at night, it's enough filtering to cut glare through the side and rearview mirrors to a point where you don't have to tip the rearview mirror up. It does look dark, especially with the moonroof shade closed (it's open in the pics). I'm thinking the all black interior makes it look darker. The wife has been pulled over in it twice so far with no mention of the tint so maybe the whole minivan thing helps make people think it's stock, I dunno.

I do like the tint enough to get the other two cars done. Might even do it myself as the van needs just the front two windows, and the SN95 should be super easy with the whole retractable roof thing. 35% just like the MZ5's front doors and rear hatch. I'm thinking 35% all around on an MZ5 should be sufficient. How about just doing the sliding door and rear quarter windows on your 5? Leave the hatch and front windows clear? Your newborn will surely benefit from it.

Wow, what a difference the ambient light makes in the above pics vs mine. I took these pics closer to dusk, and the tint doesn't look too dark at all. It is supposed to be 35% in front, 20% on the backs and 15% on the windshield. I only got a quick look at it, and haven't been out for a drive. The taxi driver (mom) picked up the kids today, and said that the windshield strip really made a big difference, but she had no comment about the rest of the tint (rolleyes). Granted, there is a lot of glass on this car, so it lets in a lot of light. Therefore, the tint is almost required. I think we'll be road tripping the next couple of weekends, so I look forward to minimizing the heat and the fishbowl effect. It remains to be seen how well she will like parallel parking or backing out of the garage at night.
